The fitness center is great for those looking to get in a workout while on vacation. My favorite feature by far is the fire pit and outdoor seating. This area is great for relaxing and unwinding after a long day. Courtyard by Marriott offers free parking, allowing families to explore the beach a few miles away, or drive to Disneyland for a day or two. While this hotel is great for families, most business travelers, couples, and even those on a solo trip will love this property for its clean and beautiful rooms.

Another Marriott property, the Fairfield Inn & Suites could fall in the group below as a mid-priced moderate hotel, but since its family suites edge into the higher price range, I am including it here. What families will love about the Fairfield is its lodging options for larger families. The family suites feature one king and two queen beds, accommodating up to six guests. Other amenities include free parking, an outdoor pool, and a generous free breakfast. SureStay is a 25 minute walk to Knott's Berry Farm, so most families will opt to drive to the park, but the hotel does have easy access to the freeway, which makes visiting area attractions a breeze.

The recently renovated rooms also offer both a refrigerator and microwave. Families on a budget will feel like they got their value and more at this hotel. The modestly sized, outdoor pool is located on the opposite side of the parking lot. Parking and breakfast are also free at this hotel, which makes it an even better value for those on a budget.
