Day 1

Get up bright and early to catch a flight to SoCal's Fun City at a discounted rate! Southwest, Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta, and United Airlines offer exclusive fares and select free benefits for U.S. Military. If you're local enough to consider ground transportation, Amtrak and Metrolink also offer 10% off train fare.

Once you’ve arrived, drop your bags off at one of Buena Park’s many comfortable hotels. Courtyard Marriott, DoubleTree by Hilton, and Fairfield Inn offer “suite” deals of flat rates for U.S. Military. After getting settled, take a trip over to Ralph B. Clark Regional Park, which boasts over 104 acres of diverse activities like tennis, fishing, hiking, and biking trails. You can also travel back in time at the Buena Park Historic District, which features several preserved buildings from the 1800’s. Both of these attractions are absolutely free.

In the evening, revel in dinner and a show by visiting Medieval Times, an immersive dining experience filled with brave nights on horseback and epic swordfights. Sports fanatics can grab a nightcap at Olympic Golf Zone, where you can get a round of drinks and play 18 holes of digital golf or hit one out of the park in the interactive batting cages. With active ID, U.S. Military will receive 30% off their entire bill.

Day 2

To start your day, grab a proper breakfast at Broken Yolk or IHOP. Hot cakes, eggs any style, bacon, sausage, French toast, and more can be enjoyed at a discounted rate. U.S. Military with active ID receive 10% off at each breakfast spot.

After you’ve loaded up on carbs, it’s time to burn them off by walking through the gates of California’s First Theme Park, Knott’s Berry Farm. With 160 acres of themed areas, coasters, kid-friendly attractions, and restaurants, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Knott’s offers discounted tickets at a rate of $59.99 each for all U.S. Military. Before heading off property, be sure to visit Knott’s Independence Hall, an exact brick-by-brick replica of the original in Philadelphia. Admission to this facility is free and open from 10am to 4pm daily, except Christmas.

After a day of thrills, relax with a warm bowl of soup from SUP Noodle Bar. Try their light and flavorful pho, Lomo Saltado with premium cuts of filet mignon, or their shaken fries topped with cheese, onions, short rib, and their signature sauce. This local favorite, along with Dickey’s BBQ Pit, offers 10% off food and beverage for active U.S. Military and veterans. Claim Jumper and Denny’s also offer 10% off to active U.S. Military.

Day 3

After resting your feet from a long park day, start the morning with breakfast at Black Bear Diner. Comfort foods like thick cut bacon, sweet cream pancakes, steak and eggs, cinnamon roll French toast, and so much more are waiting for you to order them. With an active U.S. Military ID, a 10% discount is offered off any meal. A more on-the-go breakfast can be had at Eggslice, a breakfast sandwich joint that combines a classic bacon, egg, and cheese with house made chili jam and a warm brioche bun. Afterwards, hop on over to Downtown Buena Park and visit Big Air Buena Park. Here you can defy gravity, jump off the walls, test your climbing skills, flip into foam cubes, and so much more. Active U.S. Military are offered 10% off their first hour of jumping. For ages 5 and under, pay a visit to PlayPie at The Source OC, which offers over 12,000 square feet of various spaces for children to explore, including a digital/interactive aquarium, digital sand art table, library with books in multiple languages, games, slides and more. Active U.S. Military receive 10% off.
Theme park fans can also pay a visit to Mickey and Friends at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, just 5 miles away from Buena Park. U.S. Military can save up to $170 on multi-day park hopper tickets. While in Anaheim, don't forget to visit K1 Speed, where a discount of $5 off your racing package is offered.

If you’re looking for a slower paced day, head to Heroes Hall in Costa Mesa, a free museum that celebrates veterans in the area through curated exhibits, performances, and educational programs. Another great option is to visit Orange County’s largest museum, Bower’s, which celebrates the various cultures that call Southern California home. Active U.S. Military are offered free general admission. While in Santa Ana, you can also check out the Discovery Cube, the area’s leading science center, which has more than 100 hands-on exhibits for children to enjoy. Active U.S. Military are offered 10% off their admission for themselves and up to 3 others.

On your way back to Buena Park, don’t forget to stop for some grub. Rock & Brews offers classic American comfort food in a Rock & Roll setting. You’ll find a lineup of delicious pub eats, including signature wings and over 60 craft beers. A 10% active U.S. Military discount is offered year round. If the kids still need to get some energy out, visit John’s Incredible Pizza, an entertainment center with amusement rides, video and ticket-dispensing games, as well as a buffet.
