Step Inside Buena Park’s New Murder Mystery Dinner Show

A secret password, a hidden passage, a three-course dinner and a murder. Buena Park’s newest dinner show, The Speakeasy Murder & Other Acts of Prohibition , brings the Roaring ’20s to life with mystery, music, comedy and plenty of surprises. Whether you play detective or sit back and watch the story unfold, the night is yours to experience your way.

Know the Password
The night begins at the door, where you’ll receive the secret password to enter. Step through a hidden door, just like a true speakeasy, and into a 1920s New York nightclub filled with music, cocktails, bootleggers, gangsters and flappers. From there, make your way into Club 38, where the mystery unfolds. Gatsby-style glam is encouraged, from flapper flair to classic speakeasy style. Dressing up isn’t required, but it adds to the fun.

Dinner Comes With a Side of Mystery
Your ticket includes a three-course dinner, featuring a choice of salad, entrée and Mama’s Death By Chocolate Brownie for dessert. A full bar is available for cocktails and other beverages, which are not included with admission.

Play Detective, or Sit Back and Watch
You won’t have to get on stage or participate in every scene. The experience is as interactive as you want it to be. At your table, you’ll find clues and “Charlie money” to bribe characters for inside information. Follow the clues, uncover secrets and influence the story, or simply enjoy dinner while watching the action unfold. The cast moves throughout the audience, bringing the mystery directly to guests. When it’s time to decide who is guilty, the audience gets a vote.

No Two Nights Have to End the Same Way
One of the most unique parts of The Speakeasy Murder is that the audience helps determine how the story ends. With votes influencing the outcome, you won’t know who will be unmasked or whether the killer gets away. Bribes, secrets, clues and surprises can all change the course of the night. Just remember, by the end of the evening, someone will be revealed as the victim.

Make It a Date Night
Looking for a night out with someone special? The Speakeasy Romance Package turns the murder mystery into a date-night or anniversary dinner. The package includes prime reserved seating for two, a chilled glass of Prosecco, a mixed green or Caesar salad, an 8-ounce filet mignon, a 4-ounce lobster tail with drawn butter, buttery whipped potatoes, seasonal vegetables and New York-style cheesecake to share.
