Knott's Berry Farm

Steeped in history, Knott's Berry Farm should be your first stop when coming to Buena Park with your kids. What started as a small family farm that brought us the creation of the boysenberry, Knott's has been a part of the community for over 100 years. Kids will love all of the one-of-a-kind learning opportunities throughout the park including panning for gold and visiting the blacksmith shop and old schoolhouse. The Western Trails Museum has unique artifacts like a 100+-year-old American flag. Don't miss checking out the California mission models that offer a glimpse of that period in California history.

Ralph Clark Regional Park

Kids will get a kick out of visiting the interpretive center at the Ralph Clark Regional Park as it has an extensive collection of fossils from million-year-old marine mammals to more recent terrestrial mammals. A favorite is the 9-million-year-old baleen whale skeleton. Free tours are available.


Nutrilite Experience Center

Visitors age 16 and older can take a 90-minute guided tour of the Nutrilite Experience Center to learn about agricultural practices and the importance and development of vitamins.

You don't have to go to Philadelphia to find out what it was like for the founding fathers in the early days of our nation's history. See wax replicas of Betsy Ross and George Washington while you listen to a self-guided tour of this brick-by-brick replica of Philadephia's Independence Hall. Best of all, Knott's Independence Hall is free to visit and located across the street from Knott’s Berry Farm.

Buena Park's Historical District

Here you'll find the single-walled Bacon House that dates back to 1884 and was gifted to the city in 1976. It is furnished with many original Bacon family heirlooms and is open to the public for free guided and self-guided tours. Next door to the Bacon House you'll find the 1887 Whitaker-Jaynes House which is similarly outfitted with authentic period decor and heirlooms. Gifted to the city in 1965, it has been restored and serves as a cornerstone of the Buena Park Historical District. Free tours are available to get a glimpse of how this family of eight lived during those early years in Buena Park's history.
